The network had launched 4G in Tanzania. The goal was to educate and convert existing and new customers to Vodacom’s 4G network. The campaign had started with influencer videos, showing them how to get the 4G sim cards, followed by how the process works.
My role was lead content and media strategist. I developed the campaign’s content, media, and influencer strategy.
As part of our strategy, I worked with the design and production team to create fun and short videos that highlighted the 4G’s USPs (faster music streaming, speedier movie download, and faster uploading speed). My team and I conceptualized the scripts for the three videos. We promoted them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
We also created geo-location coupon posts on Twitter and Facebook to promote to existing Vodacom users who came close to our shops so they can go and get their new 4G SIM cards and redeem 4GB worth of data.
