These guys are the innovation and accreditation arm of FIFA, so they are responsible for all new and existing innovations and tech from things like goal line technology and assistant referees to pitch quality and accredited footballs. We were approached to look at redesigning their existing real estate to something a little bit more forward thinking and innovative. The designs below reflect our approach, but the basic idea was to create a fully immersive and engaging homepage experience based on 2 halfs of a whole (it is a game of 2 half after all) i.e. innovation and accreditation. Innovation sat on the left and accreditation sat on the right.
The user was able to interact by picking up a reticle and dragging left and right to discover more about each subsection, releasing the reticle onto a piece of content would load that section into the page - dragging all the way left or right would bring the user back to the start, so a full 360 degrees of innovation and accreditation. We could also scale this homepage hero component up to work with oculus rift tech so it could be used at exhibitions and events.
