Virtual—Assembly

Virtual—Assembly is an online book fair: a space for connection born of a need for community and discussion under our present reality of social distancing.
Over the course of three days in April, prominent artists and writers discussed
new books, new work and ideas via videoconference, streamed live on virtual- assembly.com. Visitors to the site were be able to ask questions via live chat during the discussions.

The live portion of the fair was accompanied by video flipthroughs of a vibrant selection of new books by publishers large and small from around the world, with links to purchase through the publishers’ sites.

After an incredibly successful first event, Virtual—Assembly will continue to bring together a vibrant community of highly-qualified individuals; we plan to continue to make incremental additions to the site over the coming months, with another tentpole event in the Fall of 2020.
