We worked with five mentors across Los Angeles to create a video for Encore's 'Generation to Generation' campaign. Their goal is to sign up one million older adults to give back to youth in their communities. We found ourselves at a community dance class with 4 year-old-girls tapping away, at a neighborhood after-school club where rowdy middle school boys shot hoops and cracked jokes, and in a physics classroom where high schoolers refracted lasers through a prism. These settings and others were connected through a shared goal of older adults giving back.
