Having the responsibility of creating visual ideas is a task that requires tremendous effort, today most of the disciplines related to visual and artistic creativity are developed through electronic, digital and semi-automated tools. This evolution of the tools is accompanied by a fatal carelessness on the part of the professionals, this translates as the abandonment of the creative habits necessary to be able to build the solid professional talent, necessary to stand out in the gigantic industry of visual communication. To avoid falling into the negative statistics of the situation described above, I created a solution in the form of a creative exercise focused on the discipline in which I specialize, illustration.
Pantonero is the name with which I baptized the solution that I invented, let's begin by describing the name, Pantonero is the abbreviation of the words Pantone, the famous creative company of the Pantone Matching System® and the word January, the latter is due to I think that January is the optimal month to start the exercise, the methodology is simple, make 1 digital illustration daily for 30 days, the rules are as follows: keep the same composition in all the illustrations and use a palette of 4 different colors but black and white as support colors that should be used at all times is a lower percentage than the 4 main colors. The reason why I have chosen January as the month to start the exercise is because, from my perspective, the month of December is the month with the least volume of work, we have creative graphics, mainly due to the mandatory holidays that the holidays impose Therefore, January is a month in which the pace of work can be considered low so it is perfect to take advantage of the freedom of time with a creative exercise that makes our intellectual muscles hypertroph in a remarkable way.
