×During the process of interviewing for a Lead Design position with Teacher's College I was asked to create spec work for a new, fictional program. The assignment asked for four deliverables: a landing page mockup, a digital ad, a print ad, and a social media asset. I spent about a third of my time on research during the assignment, where I looked into other educational institutions and how they portray themselves online and in their marketing materials. I started by sketching ideas for global visual elements that I could use across each platform and getting familiar with the typography and how I wanted to use it. Once I landed on some consistent notes, I began building each item up using the base building blocks and basic type hierarchy. From there I made exceptions, modifications, and additions as I saw fit, mostly based on medium/platform, which culminated in the final work of what you see here. I documented my process and choices which I provided in a report along with the deliverables to give the proper insight into the work.
