A creative entertainment hub
More than an audiovisual production company, it is a creative entertainment hub that connects directors, screenwriters, independent filmmakers to produce original content. Its theme is focused on human relations, especially freedom as it deals with issues related to gender and sexuality. And all this involving the Brazilian pop culture as a background.
Here are the principles that Estúdio Giz brings to its creative process. Making a film is the maximum experience of falling and rising as many times as necessary. And what is needed to be part of that experience? This is the calling. Get up or enjoy the fall. Those who have the audacity to make a film want to leave a mark on the world and be remembered. That’s why a film never ends.
My humble contribution
I was invited by Rio Criativo in 2015 to help them in a very early stage to think about their brand identity. What happened was amazing. We could connect to the essence and through the process we rediscovered a lot of things that make them become more than a production filmmaking studio. In fact, Estudio Giz define themselves as a content provider, acting as a creative hub ready to connect investors with filmmaking community. I could watch closely their evolution. In 2019, they released Sick Sick Sick, directed by Alice Furtado. Estudio Giz produced and the movie premiere in Cannes Festival, being recognized in many movies festival and publications around the world, like The Guardian (UK)
