GIRLS / STOLEN LIVES
“GIRLS / STOLEN LIVES ” is a documentary that reflects on the violence and abuse plaguing women, their right to make decisions about their bodies, and how pregnancy affects them at a very early age.
The story is developed through diverse voices of women from different parts of Ecuador, with special emphasis on adult women who were teenage mothers, between 12 and 16 years of age.
ALT: Through the lived experiences of Ecuadorian women who became mothers between the ages of 12 and 16, “GIRLS / STOLEN LIVES ” reflects on the effects of pregnancy at such an early age, the violence and abuse that plague the women, and the right to make decisions about their own bodies.
