Covergirl Mobile Web eCommerce
The previous COVERGIRL mobile site was, shall we say, not so mobile friendly. The redesign aimed to create an on-the-go utility for the user, who needs quick access to product descriptions, reviews, and application advice.
The navigation hierarchy was completely rethought for mobile, using a shelf navigation that allowed the user to explore both products and articles via intuitive user flows while also supporting quick access to search.
The structure of each product page was built to be modular, accommodating the various types of content available — photo galleries, tutorials, reviews — and to allow new content to be added over time.
Finally, a muted color palette was established to allow for the product color swatches and campaign imagery to be the main focus.
