North Shore Crime Wave
The frequency of minor and completely absurd reasons for calling the police in the areas immediately surrounding my home is impressive.
While splitting my time between Salem, MA and New Orleans, my better half and I started comparing police logs of each city. The almost unbelievable reports from the north shore of Boston became comedic relief from the very real and sobering crime issues currently plaguing Orleans Parish in Louisiana. North Shore Crime Wave was born from that divide, and I began designing imagery to pair with the reports, simultaneously poking fun at the ridiculousness of the reports and celebrating the relative safety of this area.
These police logs are all 100% real.
