Harry Potter Wizards Unite

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is an AR mobile game. As part of the launch, WB games came to us to create key art to promote the game everywhere from the App Store to Times Square. They challenged us to show off the unique, first-person AR experience — meant to be played along with friends, in a safe area of play, in a vast urban setting, all while capturing the magic of wizardry. Working with an illustrator, photo-compositor and 3D artist, we created a system that broke the art into 3 distinct elements: a hero wizard, safe area of play, and vast cityscape. This allowed our key art to be adaptive so that we could deploy it in various markets and seasons around the world. Our final delivery included a pre-register App Store campaign, 3 pieces of key art and a robust go-to-market toolkit that resulted in a successful launch with over 3 million players worldwide.
