Generative Study for Venture Design at ANZi
A number of contextual studies with people actively considering selling, or selling their home, as well as shadowing agents and buyers throughout the sourcing journey allowed us to capture self-evaluated behavioural and attitudinal inputs in context.
Open and closed card sorting gave us better insights about the hierarchy of severity/impact when it came to pain points, and also helped to highlight some patterns in the correlation between high impact pain points and the degree to which service components/features were valued (willingness to pay metrics, social and emotional endpoints).
From here we developed hypothesis registers, and robust behavioural archetypes through a series of team synthesis workshops I led. Conceptual prototypes helped to rapidly gather feedback from users, subject matter experts in the property field, and internal stakeholders (feasibility) in order to refine the solution to best align with validated user needs.
Concept/Proposition testing helped refine our understanding of our target user and their key needs and behaviours. From here we were able to define the opportunity for investors, add accuracy to our TAM, create experience principles and build an ecosystem map to define the concept in the broader context of the home ownership journey.
