The Gold Rush
A series on the history of the California Gold Rush and the near extinction of the Native Nisenan and Maidu tribes as a result of colonialism and greed. I was particularly interested in conveying the true grit and dignity of native peoples, stripping away any romanticism which is so often a cover for the tragedies that occurred.
