Before the 2019 NFL season started, the adidas US Football team came to us with a problem: people didn’t know that their star athletes were, in fact, adidas athletes. Which sucks, because they have some great athletes on their roster. We helped them to develop a plan to celebrate their athletes and show how deep the connection is between athlete and adidas.
The result is these “in their head” animations, that show the athletes sans helmet, but include little details that only a true fan will understand: an astronaut for Bradley Chubbs nods to his unique IG handle, a bottle of ketchup for Patrick Mahomes’s favorite condiment, or a Swiss army knife as a metaphor for Tarik Cohen’s multi-purpose ability on field.
