As the lead copywriter at The Black Tux, I learned how people’s relationships with suits and tuxedos can vary depending on who they are, the type of event they have coming up, and where they are in the process of renting or buying formal wear. To get a better understanding of who The Black Tux messages were reaching, I proactively took on a design researcher role to interview real customers and develop unique insights that would improve creative briefs. Below are samples of various research and consumer experiences I crafted at different touchpoints, including a narrative about The Black Tux suit quality on their website, a lookbook distributed at Crate & Barrel, podcast ad scripts, event collateral, in-box inserts, emails, and posters for showrooms.
