I was the curator, pilot, and editor-in-chief of this epic, annual portfolio highlighting the most compelling LGBTQ people of the year. A total of 109 subjects from all disciplines and walks of life were photographed in 5 cities, across 2 continents, in a period of 2.5 months. A single photographer, Martin Schoeller, completed this with my supervision and collaboration, while a team led by me handled logistics, scheduling, talent outreach, concepts, interviews, copy, and proofing. I singlehandedly made every final photo select, top-edited (or wrote) all text, worked closely with the integrated marketing team and brand sponsors, determined covers, conceived overall theme, developed and coordinated digital and social assets and rollout, represented the brand and the list for media coverage, helped develop the experiential event, and spoke on its behalf to an audience of hundreds. The portfolio was the most youthful and diverse in its 24-year history, and it yielded more than 600 million media impressions within two weeks of online launch.
