People are arguing on the internet about whether or not Halle Bailey should be cast as Ariel in the Little Mermaid. Not because of her acting or singing skills, but because of her skin color. In a time when even emojis get an update with racial diversity, it’s time we do the same with fairy tales.

Disney introduces Prism. With the launch of Disney’s first-ever streaming platform, Disney+, we’re going to roll out a feature that champions racial diversity. Just like the function of choosing emoji skin types, all you have to do is click the Prism icon and choose your character.
