When I started at Salesforce, I saw an opportunity to create something tactile that would literally tell the story of people working for this company across the globe. Drawing on my previous publications work, I envisioned a “coffee table book”—employees and guests alike could pick it up, open to any page, and jump in. Since its debut in 2015, this 200+ page book has become a yearly tradition, capturing the major milestones of culture and life at Salesforce. (It’s also been a winning submission for Fortune 100’s Best Companies to Work For list.) Because the book profiles different employees and their offices across the US and worldwide, photography is a crucial element. I set the creative direction of the photography, and communicate it to all photographers (20+ shoots) in multiple regions around the globe. I also contributed to content structure and layout design, contracting illustrators, and selecting and working with print vendors on-press.
