How confident do you feel in the, “All Natural” section in the drug store?
That was essentially the question at play when a CBD oils company, Root Bioscience, launched their new line in the Spring of 2019. Armed with a team of dedicated scientists and a mission to provide products a family could feel good using, the company was intent on educating individuals and providing accountability in an industry that doesn’t typically ask for it.
The emphasis on family began with a name—Naternal, a combination of “nature” and “maternal”—that feels as simple as it is to say. What followed was a complete brand system, from tailored fonts to a visual architecture that could be broken down and adapted for different products, no matter their shape or size. Throughout, our goal was to represent something that—despite its newness—you could pull off a shelf and feel good using.
