The Leroy Room At Murray's

Murray's Cheese, established in 1940 as a cornerstone in the New York City specialty foods landscape, began aging their own cheeses in a subterranean space below the Bleecker Street flagship store. In the early 2000s, the company recognized a need for expansion and transitioned their affinage program to the state-of-the-art facility in Queens where it resides today. The decision was made to refurbish the cavernous space below the Greenwich Village shop and open an auxiliary arm of the Murray's brand: The Leroy Room. As one of the City's premiere new event spaces, Murray's offers its clients their extensive knowledge and unique view on what it means to come together and enjoy the pleasures of cheese. The brand development and overall creative direction instinctively separates the visual look and feel of this brand from that of its parent. The Leroy Room is meant to be a speakeasy of sorts; its visuals were designed to evoke the intimacy, luxury and unexpected delight of the experience the space offers to its clientele.
