Designed as a personal project, 23.5° started as a daily documentation of the world from my office window in Chicago as Winter turned to Summer. I snapped a photo each day at the same time, recorded the weather and then researched why the seasons change. I fell upon the number 23.5°, or the axial tilt of the earth, which upon further investigation I discovered has been at the heart of numerous conspiracy theories throughout history. I wrote an essay about it, and printed the posters on newsprint (at 17.5" x 23.5") to be sent out as a studio promotion.
