To coincide with the Tour de France, we wrote a story to highlight the increasing popularity of Airbnb's cycling Experiences. The data was compelling – like, for instance, more than 30,000 Airbnb guests had booked cycling Experiences only a year and a half after the platform had launched – and it deserved visuals that were equally arresting. So we partnered with Illo, a boutique illustration studio in Turin, Italy, to create a set of animated infographics showcasing our stats. Our work was featured in the 2018 CommArts advertising annual and won a handful of design awards, including the Digital Design Award of the Week.
