Orvis: Get Wild

Orvis is a centuries old sporting equipment company that specializes in fly fishing. Orvis wanted to increase overall brand awareness, while introducing the brand to a new demographic of younger, urban based customers. Those who are familiar with the brand, know the heritage and quality of products, but know very little about the other side of Orvis: the trips & classes they offer. So to capture a younger audience, we proposed a pop-up VR experience, mobile Airstream store and interactive website. The interactive website is intended to highlight Orvis products in a real life situation. By including the Fly Selector Widget, we capitalize on the information housed in the Orvis Fly App, which was previously under utilized as a stand alone app. The Pop-up VR experience, allows us to bring a real-life experience of fly fishing trip to a younger audience who seek experiences over out-right products.
