What Are You Made Of?
The project was to pair portraits of 4 inspiring working women with a poem they wrote on a variety of topics‚—unique skills, bad office habits, work mottos, first job earnings, proud moments and more, through the childhood game of mad libs. The idea behind this campaign was to recognize women who have defied the odds professionally to stand up for what they believe in. Our subjects included Amy Sherald, who painted Michelle Obama’s official portrait that now hangs in the National Portrait Gallery; Cecile Richards, the former president of Planned Parenthood; Catt Sadler, the former E! News host who made headlines when she left her job after discovering that her male co-host made double her salary; and Ana Navarro a CNN and tv spokeswoman. As part of What Are You Made Of campaign, the images and poems were featured in the NYC subway and NY Times.
