True Gent Campaign
During my time supporting the Daffodil Hotel & Spa, I was asked to create a campaign in the run up to Valentines Day. The campaign would be focussed on social media, with supporting print and promo to be used in our venue and in local advertising. Research showed that over 85% of our target and most active audience online were female, aged between 18 - 55, interested in travel, beauty, lifestyle and blogging.
Based on the breif and the research we'd conducted, I came up with the #TrueGent campaign - aimed at women in the run up to Valentine's. Each week I would release a new #TrueGent example, celebrating some of the great things our partners do and why they deserve to be thanked for their efforts and care. These were simple, stylish tip cards posted across our social channels and on our blog. Our users would then submit examples of ways in which their partner's had gone 'the extra mile' during their relationship. Each week, one user would be selected to win a small prize, leading up to Valentine's where one lucky couple would wi a night's stay, spa access and a romantic dinner for two. Conditions including following our pages and sharing with friends. This saw a significant spike in social media growth, email opens and website hits. Our mailing list subscriptions also grew and sales for afternoon tea and spa days also increased year on year.
