Under Armour ColdGear
A campaign done for Under Armour’s ColdGear line of clothing with the team at We Are Royale. I predominantly worked on creating the fluid fx and animated lines alongside the simulations team.
Our goal was to abstractly show the clothing containing body heat created while athletes are working out, and redistributing it throughout the body in a controlled manner.
We created a variety of these simulations for athletes performing different physical feats, such as running and jumping. For the live footage, the athletes were manually motion tracked and then the motion tracked models were used to create the fluid simulations. These were then displayed on a monitor behind the athletes while they were performing, so the movements of both synced up.
