When Nike partnered with the NBA, not only did they take over the jersey distribution they also sought to change what it means to own a jersey. By embedding a unique NFC chip in every jersey they were able to connect teams, players and fans like never before. Our task was to create a digital experience that engaged basketball fans, rewarded team & player loyalty and kept the dialogue flowing around game days – all by owning a jersey. This experience is called the Nike NBA Connected Jersey.
