The Divining Bell

As a composer for The Divining Bell, I created a textured score that juxtaposed the terror of the 'alien' outside against the feeling of home. To create this, I used synthesizers and MIDI instruments I constructed myself to capture 'outside,' and organic instruments (strings) to establish safety and calm in Examiner's home. The Divining Bell was co-written, co-directed, co-produced, and co-edited by Sierra Sanchez & Gabriel Nelson. Logline: Examiner, the last human in this world, is tasked with taking special care of a fragile ecosystem in a harsh, ever-dark world. When parasitic creatures threaten Examiner’s way of life, it’s up to them to fight and protect the home they devoted their life to. Note - I used Ableton Live 10 Suite to create this score; this DAW is not listed as a "skill" so I subbed in Pro Tools (software I am also proficient at).
