IFC | Documentary Now! Season 52 Social / FYC

In 2019, IFC premiered the long-awaited 52nd Season of the prestigious series Documentary Now! Obviously, this comedy series is not the long-running bastion of television that it purports to be. But, it is one of the best comedies on TV. Taking a cue from the tongue-in-cheek presentation of the series itself, I led a team of copywriters and designers and developed a campaign look and feel that kept us firmly in the Doc Now world and maintained the same hilarious self-seriousness as broadcast. Our voice and tone leaned hard into the niche audience - imagine if James Lipton, Ira Glass and the guy who hosts movies on TCM had a baby, and raised it on a steady diet of the Criterion Collection.
