The Luupe is a photography service that is lead and produced by female creative leaders and photographers to be a service that would provide personalized customer service for clients to provide them with the best possible stock photography to meet their needs.
When I was brought on to start this project there were initial UX designs and content. What they asked of me was to push the visual design to create a bold and functional website for their initial launch. The two goals to meet for this would be a site that would both attract top talent but also secure new clients.
The beauty of working for a client that creates photo content is that there's a wealth of great work to show off — instead of trying to make up for less than beautiful assets I had a chance to work with some spectacular and diverse artwork. The design for The Luupe feels traditional due to large headers that read like spreads of a magazine, the bold colors and typography call attention without over-reaching.
The goal of the site was to feel feminine and tasteful in a way that would appeal to any type of client and inspire artists to join the campaign.
