Relativity

I have always been fascinated by the relativity theory and how it applies to the concept of time. The idea that time is never absolute and the speed of time can change depending on how fast you are moving and accelerating is a difficult thing to wrap my head around. I can get lost in thinking about time and how it’s just a human concept. We feel time as something linear, but it’s just our perception of it. Playing around with all those ideas and thoughts I created this series of hourglasses visualising the fluidity of time.

At the moment one of the hourglasses is being developed as an art sculpture> I am also experimenting with the vector lines and screen printing. As soon as there are some results I will add those to this casestudy.
