Old El Paso – Campaign activation
Old El Paso’s new advertising campaign, ‘Make Some Noise’, celebrates the sociable nature of Mexican food. Now we needed to bring this idea to life in a series of activations and experiences.
Our platform, This Calls For Face-to-Face Time, took a tongue-in-cheek swipe at our overly digital lives with all their noisy distractions. Using familiar tech terms and turning them on their head, we invited people to put down their phones and pick up some fajitas instead…
Activations included a ‘Not By My Selfie’ photobooth that needed more than one person to activate the camera. As a twist, behind the camera a chef would be preparing fresh food to enjoy together on nearby benches (if users chose not to share their selfie online).
We also created ‘all roll, no scroll’ fajita wraps for people to fold their phones into at dinnertime. Because as the old saying goes: silent phone, noisy table.
