'Good Eats: The Reload' Branding

I had the honor of developing the stylistic direction, illustrations and type for the new 'Good Eats: The Return' branding. This included the show opener, typography and wallpaper for the set.
Taking cues from mid-century modern graphic design, I created the logo and illustrations for the opening. I wanted to give a clean modern feel with a retro vibe. While keeping the old Good Eats opening kaleidoscope effect, I was able to also give it an update by having the illustrations change colors as they overlapped.
After creating the opening, I then expanded the type from the logo out to a full working .otf to use in the rest of the show as well as Mr. Brown's online presence.
While designing the set, Elizabeth Ingram-Brown, decided that the wallpaper should also reference the old show. She tasked me with creating a retro wallpaper that used updated icons of the food from the old opener.
