Unfortunately, only 6.7% of women graduate with STEM degrees. We wanted to change that statistic, by introducing young girls to a technology that can help them change the world. And the odds. Additionally, we partnered with LinkedIn to launch a career tool that takes the interests of young girls and introduces them to different careers in STEM, providing them with insight on how to start pursuing these passions and skills. We also hosted a Facebook Live event at the Microsoft flagship store in NYC on March 18 in partnership with National Geographic. The event featured female scientists who spent the day at the Microsoft Flagship store in NYC speaking to girls about STEM and using the Career Explorer as a way to explore said careers.
