or the first time ever, Wheaties decided to enlist fans to determine the next athlete to appear on the Wheaties box. Over a two month period, fans voted by logging their workouts via mapmyfitness. Each logged workout counted as one vote for their athlete, and that athlete’s selected charity. The athlete with the most points at the end of the competition would appear on the box while their charity would receive a donation from General Mills based on the number of logged workouts. After two months of voting and over 873,000 workouts logged, UFC Champion Antony Pettis was crowned the winner.
