VICE News Tonight

ICE News Tonight is a journey into a new world of visual news for the current time. The half-hour nightly broadcast uses a design system as an anchor. This design system orients the viewer, speaks to the audience, and plays a key role in navigating the important news of the day. An award winning visual news brand, and a first of its kind. By using design instead of a host, we created a show that is programmed by its content, not by a talking head. By removing the host from the news, we made a custom designed UI, familiarizing the experience with visual cues and recognizable interface that cuts straight through to the stories the viewer wants.
