Nashdi — Jerusalem Pride Film Festival
While studying in Jerusalem, I created the concept, naming and identity for Nashdi - Pride Film Festival. Jerusalem’s LGBTQ+ community is a threatened group without a representative voice in the city. The point was to project their voices through a festival that truly represents them and work as a tool in pursuit of tolerance and empathy.
At first, I talked to members of this community to understand what does it mean to be gay in the holy city and how could I translate it in a visual way. It was a four days festival and each day has its own color/gradient and stationary.
Everything was developed in the 3 official languages of Jerusalem, since the subject was talking about diversity. The visual elements reinforce the idea of militancy and fight for rights, although it doesn’t turn the visual communication
heavy and sad since the festival is an event of entertainment.
