For the Eden Series, I was commissioned to create the floral headdress for the portrait sessions for Afro. The elaborate floral headpiece was constructed using chicken wire mesh, wire, floral tape, and a variety of fresh flowers (Baby's Breaths, White Spray roses, and White Wax flowers).
Throughout generations and different cultures, flowers represent a variety of sentiments. For the headdress, I wanted the majority of the flowers to consist of Baby's Breath since this flower represents innocence and softness. The white roses historically symbolize innocence and purity.
The cloud-like arrangement sits like a halo, while it evokes abundant natural beauty and a harmony with all the elements with in paradise.
