Pepsi: Michael Jackson 25th Anniversary Tribute Spot
Pepsi wanted to create a commercial commemorating their 25-year-long relationship with Michael Jackson, in correlation with the 25th anniversary of the “Bad” album.
We worked closely with the Michael Jackson estate to gain archived footage of Michael. We then partnered with world famous artist Marco Brambilla, renowned for his moving portrait installations. He's only committed to two music projects throughout his career, and this was the second.
We used archive footage to create an integrated video that combined a heavy dose of old and new culture, celebrating and reminding everyone of Pepsi and the king of pop’s bond.
The award-winning ad, featuring a remix by Afrojack, aired during the BET special, “Bad25 — The short films of Michael Jackson,” as well as during the X-Factor on Fox.
