The Green Light Project

A car’s rear brake lights indicate when you slow down to the driver behind you. But nothing communicates to pedestrians whether the car heading towards them is slowing down or not.

The new device links to the cars’ braking system. Whenever the driver steps on the brakes, the Green Light turns on at the front of the car. When pedestrians see it, they’ll know they can cross. When they don’t, they’ll wait. The Green Light is the first car light created for pedestrians.
