MIT Technology Review: Decoded Explainer Series
MIT Technology Review wanted to expand their audience to a younger, less technical demographic and to build more pop cultural relevance.
We identified “explainer videos” as a white space that their brand could own and then we created their new animated explainer series, “DECODED”, from the bottom up - from naming to logo to developing a method to distill complicated concepts to quick, easily understandable sound bites and producing the bumpers to be used across all episodes, as well as the series launching explainer video on CRISPR gene editing.
MIT TR now has a strategy to immediately and relevantly engage a younger audience and a product that is both outperforming their other video efforts and has garnered enough attention to drive MITTR to create additional videos.
