Along with my design work, I am a practicing artist. I draw and paints women making moves, pushing up against the world, and straddling difficult contradictions. Born acrobats, we jump through hurdles and hoops, landing with force. My work focuses on the way our behaviors and performances have shaped us, but celebrates the imprints we leave even as we move through pain or unease. I want to pull out our world-shaping powers in blunt strokes.
