Visual identity and menu system of BaoLiXuan, the Chinese starred restaurant of the Bulgari Hotel Shanghai. The restaurant takes place in a beautiful, historical building, the former Chamber of Commerce.
The main menu is a kind of magazine, a unique piece stamped manually with the tipical Chinese red chop on it’s cover, that the guest can bring home.
The visual identity expresses the tradition and the uniqueness of the location, through the original Chinese tea paper, the calligraphic brush, and the traditional bindings (open from the left) and formats.
I was in charge of the art direction, managing the creative team and the production.
