Spring Fling 2015 identity proposal
Proposed visual identity for Yale’s annual end-of-year music festival. The system is based on the pixel, representing the event’s transition into music in an increasingly digital age, specifically electronic music. The vibrant color scheme references green grass, flowers and blue skies, common associations with springtime. The full logo is composed of interlocking pixel-based letters and numbers that read “Spring Fling 15.” A secondary logo uses only “SF15” and is locked up with text for legibility. The letters and numbers from the secondary logo can interlock in different arrangements, mimicking the dynamic, constantly shifting crowd at the festival.
