Cecilia Chorus of New York - Righting Classical Injustice
Despite her prolific and influential career, history has nearly forgotten Dame Ethel Smyth, solely because she was a woman. The Cecilia Chorus of New York wanted to correct that by giving her last major work, The Prison, it's U.S. debut at Carnegie Hall. So on a non-profit budget, we created a short documentary that got international coverage. Even the New Yorker and British Consulate of NY picked it up.
