Many inner city neighborhoods of Milwaukee are ravaged by gangs, prostitution and drug use. Hotboards gets kids out of these neighborhoods once a week and takes them to an indoor skate park where they receive the kind of support and attention they need, while also helping them develop skills and build self-confidence.
This print campaign and poster series ran as a part of the Partnership for Humanity program of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, a program designed for small charities without the budget to advertise in the newspaper. The program also allows ad agencies to partner with non-profits to improve their chances for success. This print ad placed in the annual competition in 2012 earning the charity another insertion in the newspaper as well as additional press coverage.
