Preservation Maryland is a local Baltimore non-profit dedicated to preserving, restoring, and educating on state-wide historic sites, events and organizations. With more than eighty years’ history, Preservation Maryland needed a refresh of their brand and web presence to reach younger audiences. I updated their logo with a more geometric design that could translate to smaller sizes, and matched it with a serif typeface that recalled their past brand while staying contemporary. The organization’s color palette was brightened, and new type choices were selected to use across their branding, print, and web products. In overhauling their outdated web presence, I designed and developed a site that is extremely flexible to match wide array of content needs. With my custom WordPress theme, the client can make updates and changes without further designer/developer intervention.
