Mirror

My role: Logo design, identity design, and art direction for brand photography (photographed by Charlie Schuck). Included high-level app and website design, and creation of style guide for Mirror's internal team to follow. The first of its kind, Mirror is a new tech fitness product. An understated mirror at first glance, it has a screen embedded—and when turned on, you can see your workout form while you follow a trainer on the screen. Paired with an app, the Mirror allows you to work out at home at any time with any workout—even live with a trainer. The design and art direction needed to fulfill several needs: immediately read as fitness, show how the product works, show ease of use, reveal the home, and show humanity. The custom-lettered logotype is inspired by movement and the sleekness of the product. The art direction for photography focused on showing the intensity of the workout and elements of home while still being simple enough to show the focus on the Mirror itself. It combines the hardworking product demonstration images with artful captures of the bodies in motion.
