Glomex is a global video marketplace founded by number one TV broadcaster and media sales house in German-speaking countries, ProSiebenSat.1, who operates over 50 platforms with almost three billion views per year. The project was the relaunch of the video marketplace along with the corporate site. How to showcase a complex product effectively and drive more leads? Using findings from the current site's analytics and extensive market research, it became clear that the marketplace needed to be more than a site and should behave more like an application. Drawing learnings from successful video platforms, gaming systems and mobile applications, we created a platform based on quick access to Glomex's essential functions and a friction-less browsing experience. Key user flows were carefully crafted to let users get a feel for the product while making it easy to sign up at any point.
