Riff is a music promotion tool that allows musicians to focus on expressing themselves through their art instead of worrying about how to get people to engage with their music on social media.
Replacing the day-to-day use of Adobe After Effects and similar programs for thousands of artists, Riff's main functionality is that it aggregates all of the music you produce or promote, and through a convenient interface allows you to create short music video clips and automatically post them to all your connected social media pages.
My role at Riff as CTO has been to run a product tech operation with minimal funding and bootstrapping, upsizing and downsizing the team as runway allowed, and being the chief architect of the technical systems involved in a user-facing and client-facing operation, frontend to backend. By collaborating with some great people, I architected, designed, and developed, and in the end we came out with a product we are proud of.
